Implementation progress

The RAFTPINK project has been implemented according to the planned timeline, methodological framework, and defined responsibilities among partner organizations. Coordination mechanisms were established during the kick-off meeting and operationalized through regular monthly consortium meetings and structured internal communication channels. Ad-hoc meetings were held in response to specific health-related and logistical circumstances, ensuring continuity of implementation and participant well-being.

Training activities were conducted in Serbia, Croatia, and Italy using a unified methodology specifically adapted for women after breast cancer treatment. The approach prioritized safe progression of physical activity, stabilization of shoulder and upper-body function, and promotion of group cohesion. Coaches were trained to apply individualized adjustments and follow safety precautions relevant to the target group.

A joint international training camp and competition was successfully carried out. The introduction of the Pink Ladies category into national and EuroCup rafting competitions represents a key innovation outcome, demonstrating the feasibility of structured sport participation for women after oncological treatment. Dissemination activities included website updates, social media communication, public events, and coverage in national and local media.

Monitoring and evaluation were performed through participant questionnaires and trainer observations. Results indicate improvements in physical functional capacity, emotional well-being, social connectedness, and motivation for continued participation. The project demonstrates strong replicability potential and provides a sustainable model for integrating adapted rafting into post-treatment rehabilitation programs.

Monitoring and Evaluation:
Evaluation was conducted through structured questionnaires and professional observation. 78% of participants reported improved physical fitness and mobility, while 96% indicated positive emotional and psychosocial effects. Medical practitioners involved in the program confirmed improved shoulder range of motion, increased upper-body functional strength, and reduced muscular tension. The methodology was assessed as safe and appropriate when applied progressively and under supervision. The project demonstrates strong applicability and sustainability potential.
